Location
North Acton is within the Borough of Ealing in West London, it is located in the travelcard boundary between Zone 2 and Zone 3. The area is located slightly outside the centre of London however is well situated for an easy commute to both South Kensington and White City campus. Kemp Porter has the benefit of being located just two minutes away from North Acton tube station which operates on the central line making it very convenient to hop around the city! Here are some typical journey times by public transport:
- Kemp Porter to South Kensington Campus – 35 mins (can include a lovely walk through Hyde Park!)
- Kemp Porter to White City Campus – 20 mins

Local Area
The part of North Acton in which Kemp Porter is located is very much geared towards student living. Kemp Porter Buildings is located within a three minute walk of Woodward Buildings which is another Imperial halls of residence. These are Imperial’s two largest halls with approximately 1250 students between them. Within the area there are also several other large student accommodation buildings belonging to other universities. So it is never hard to find people your own age!
