Kemp Porter has a large team of wardens and subwardens who are there to ensure students welfare, safety and to help make sure they have a great first year in university. You can contact the wardens with any help you may need. Whether you’re looking for local recommendations, need to talk to someone about welfare or academic worries and anything in between, please do not hesitate to get in touch. The team is there to help directly or point you in the right direction and will maintain confidentiality across the team and (bar exceptional circumstances) only contact other services across the College if you ask us to. You can get in touch with the Wardening team in the following ways:
For incidents that require an immediate response (a noise complaint, a leak, etc), please call the Duty Phone, 07546 414 184, during non-office hours. Make sure you have our number saved in your phone! A warden will be on the line from 19.00 to 08.00 everyday of the year and outside those hours you will be put in touch with the concierge team at reception. We ask that the Duty Phone is used for emergencies only (when you require an immediate response).
Office Hours – The duty subwarden is available every day from 7pm – 8pm and can usually be found in the wardens office, although during COVID this has moved to Microsoft Teams (Kemp Porter Buildings Community/Duty Hour). Office hours is a chance to discuss any issues (big or small!) or just have a friendly chat face-to-face. It is also where you can come and borrow any halls equipment.
Warden Email – Any non-urgent issues can be raised to the wardens though email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We aim to respond to all queries within 24 hours.
